Soooo... I tried a SuDoKu today... it worked out pretty well... guy sitting next to me at work explained how it worked... it was really an easy one I was told, solved it with some help... I tried a hard one for about three hours and then accidentally closed the spreasheet I was using to fill it out... I wasn't getting anywhere anyways.

 

Nintendo WifFi Connection

 

So I broke down and bought myself a nintendo wifi doojamahicky... it's cheaper then a wireless router and easier then finding a free hostspot in Ottawa.  Haven't gotten a chance to try it out.

Rob's got himself a website, I'm not sure if it's fully public, but if he gets a pile of traffic he just has to change his IP so http://robshouse.no-ip.info/ is the place... I'm in the more or less recent ones.  We hung out yesterday and he and I decided on our next big secret project... well... sort-of... I'll have to beat him up and acctually produce some artisticy things and some unique game ideas that are simple to impliment... I've also come up with quite a few crazy ideas for how to run a company... oh and we also played a bunch of music and stuff... yay music.

I Am Not the Next Canadian Idol

 

So... I guess it was a week ago today I went on down to St. Laurent Mall to try my luck in the Canadian Idol Auditions.  After a pleasent few hours spent in line, sitting on the mall floor, eating mall food, and playing Nintendo DS I have my chance... sang a verse and a chorus of "Leaving On a Jetplane" to a single anonymouse judge and was told I could go home.

 

Next day I went over to my buddy Rob's and we jammed and I sang my voice hoarse... links imminent.

 

Obsessions of The Moment One, Tetris DS

 

So I was playing a lot of Tetris DS recently... My Current Standard Marathon HighScore is: 534000, Standard Marathon Endless is: 1436741, Standard Line Clear is: 105000(20-5).. and whatever TETRIS POINTS are... I have 13253 of them... I'm not all that good at the other games but they are fun... I've kinda exausted the inicial blast of excitement and it's now a "pick up and play a few levels of mission or puzzle or touch", but the great thing about testris is that I'll always go back to it... meanwhile despite the fact that trish is excellent at puzzle games and tetris in particular she has yet to beat me in multi-player, even with all of the highest handicap.  We stopped playing together.

 

Obsessions of The Moment Two, Gusanos

 

Someone posted in the Spring forums about a little game called liero, and someone else mentions a "mostly open source" clone of it called Gusanos, think either "real-time-worms" or "2D-Quake".  Low rez, Sprite/Particle system based frag fest with cute little worms blowing eachother into blood-particle spewing gibs... very fun... I've been playing around with objects/weapons/maps and want to start looking into the scripting system... yet again I don't understand why Open Source has to mean "needlessly complicated UI"... but whaterver... I still need to find some people to play with online because their community seems to be obsessed by Open TTD right now... meh.

 

Sorry That This Post Sucks

 

I've been feeling kinda crappy and not wanting to work, meanwhile the weather is getting nicer and their is more sun... but my shifts are crappy and I've been staying up past sunrise for the past few days playing Gusanos... and making maps and such for it... anyways...

 

I was really hopeing I would be a famouse Idol Singer... or a super hero... would it be too much to ask the universe to grant me just a little super speed? or teleportation? even telekinesis would be awsome? no? okay... whatever...

 

I don't work tommorow, so that's kinda nice... havn't really seen much of Trish this week... Penny-Arcade's MP3-Cast is teh awsomes... been hanging around in IRCs a bunch lately because I'm getting lonely... meh.
