Titles Suck

So last night Rob came over and we went over to his place and had pizza and coke and watched the day after tommorow.

Mcdonaldopoly

Uhm, I've been busy. Sort-of.

Sunday I slept in then babysat the pastors kids, we watched Ella Enchanted and it was pretty cute. After Rob came over and we played some video games then went to church and then I went over to A&E's to play bongos with them.

Monday night my sister had us all over for a Roast Beef dinner and then we all played Eye Toy Groove and Donkey Konga for a couple hours.

Okay not so much busy as not being able to blog. Outside of that I've been sleeping quite a bit, eating too much McDonald's food and getting sent home early from work two days in a row.

Tommorow I'm going to see a movie with Gene so that should be fun.

Siobhan Rock!

So today I slept in until about one o'clock and then sat around and did very near to nothing for a couple hours, if I remember correctly I poked stuff until it was dead on ragnarok online. Actually, in retrospect I also got all the dishes done and saw my friend online so we're planning to go see Team America: World Police together sometime next week. So I guess it wasn't really all that bad of an afternoon.

That's when life got interesting.

There are a few things that I particularly enjoy. One of then is sushi. At around 5:45 my sister came by and we (both sisters and one brother and law and I) went out for Korean/Japanese food. I got a 15 piece sushi platter and it was really excellent. There are few foods better than wasabi, sweet sticky rice, soy sauce and raw fish all wrapped up in a little package, and all of them come from Japan. I really think that if I could live just fine in Japan, but I don't think trish would like it very much, she doesn't even like to eat sea weed.

Well the reason we all went out for Japanese food was that we were all going out to a concert of the TaiCo drumming group that my sister was in up until just recently. There's no real way to describe the experience, or at least I can't come up with one at 2:56 in the morning, so I'm not going to try too hard at it. There were big drums and people hitting them with big sticks and yelling a bit and it was really cool. See, I told you it wouldn't work.

Anyways, AFTER the TaiCo concert we went out to see a Celtic Punk Rock Show/CD Release Party. The band was called Siobhan and they were really great. Then again I really like Celtic Punk so meh right? In any case, I turned into the person inside of me who really likes punk and was moshing and head banging and dosidoing and jigging and yelling along to the songs I knew... and kicking broken beer bottles and glasses out of the way... it was great. I really need to take Trish to a punk rock show because I don't think she's seen that side of me yet... I'll let her hide and pretend she doesn't know me.

THEN, AFTER the concert I went out for shwarmas and smoothies (they call them cocktails at shwarma places for some reason) with Jule Ann and jer and couple of jule ann's friends and one of the band members cause he's married to one of jule ann's friends. Heard a couple good stories from the road and then I got a drive back to my place... which brings me to now.

AT the moment, I still have the soreness from Donkey Konga, plus I'm losing my voice and my back and neck are sore and I'm in that exausted but not tired mode that means I probably won't be able to get to sleep... in any case I'm going to at least TRY to go to bed.

Weekend's That Start Well

So yesterday evening the church youth group was having a video gaming night. Partly because both of my sisters and my brother in law are youth sponsors, and partly because the video games were all being supplied by me I got to attend.

It was great fun, the Donkey Konga Bongos went over pretty well, but the Eye Toy Groove game got the most enthusiasm. We had the big church basement and the projector screen making about a 10 foot screen, we had the churches mixing board and some nice big speakers for sound and I hung up a dark sheet to make it work better. there were about 5 kids there so after a while a group of us set up a second TV and played some Pac Man VS, some Godzilla Detroy All Monsters: Melee, and finished off with a couple rounds of Super Smash Brothers Melee.

The youth seemed to acctually have a good time at it and I got to play some of my video games on the big screen. One of the youth didn't really participate but seemed to enjoy watching the rest of us make fools of ourselves with the Eye Toy.

Anyways, life is good even though I'm a little hungry.

Blogging, Bongos and a Bigger Spoon

I am lazy, I'll admit it to anyone, but I have refined laziness past lack of motivation, past a skill, past a art to a zen like form of laziness.

I'm lazy, I'm so lazy I didn't want to go down to walmart and buy a new video game. I did however go and get said video game and then did I proceed to play bongos until I had beaten every level on easy, and quite a few on hard.

I'm so lazy that I got up and walked all the way back to the kitchen to get a bigger spoon because it was taking too long to eat my soup with the small one I had.

I'm so lazy that I read on the bus because reading makes time go quicker when I don't have the energy to do nothing.

I'm so lazy that I will write a blog every day for a week and avoid writing down any of the stories or songs that are in my head.

I'm so lazy that I will do something right when I'm told because the act of bothering to set up some way for me to remember to do it later is too hard.

Today work was relatively uneventful, I talked to one of the girls I trained for a bit, read for a bit, and then told the guy behind me how lazy I was. So lazy in fact that it was too much effort to convince myself not to go down to Wal*Mart and buy myself the new midway arcade treasures game (It has quite a few great multiplayer games and I wanted to have at least a couple more before the Youth group borrows my games tommorow night [I was invited to youth as well, I fully intend to go because even if they are 12 or 13 it's still SOMEBODY to play with]) and also as an impulse I bought myself Donkey Konga with the nifty bongo controllers.

It is very important to note that I really, really like music games. REZ, DDR, EyeToy Groove and games like them are things that I enjoy doing until I can't move whatever part of me was used to play the game (in the case of REZ that would be my brain and greater nervouse system). It's a very fun game, and like all these games I like them because they are fun for those who don't usually like video games. I am a missionary for the video game industry and it shows. In any case that meant that when they came out with something for GameCube that fell under the "everyone can play this game" category I obviousely needed to aquire it.

Anyways, then bussed back to billings, roller bladed home, took a bath and then proceeded to sweat myself up again playing bongos for I'm guessing a couple hours or more.

In other news, I now have inplicated 2 of my friends into the world of Ragnarok online which means I will probably acctually comunicate with them more but in a less meaningful way.

ONLY ONE MONTH UNTIL THE RELEASE OF THE NINTENDO DS!!!

Menta; Telepathy

So I've been thinking for a while that being able to comunicate telipathically would be rather useful, for one thing wouldn't have to get myself a phone and for another I wouldn't miss my fiancee quite so badly. Anyways I figured the internet is pretty big and I've finally got around to trying to figure the whole thing out, it shouldn't be too hard if it's real and I'm crazy enough to think that it's working if it's not so I'll have fun either way, right?

So R. finally made it online to play Ragnarok, which is cool... I'm not very good at this type of game which is slightly less cool, but I'm getting the hang of it now... I think.

Jer was interviewing at work today, it would be cool for him to get a job there I think, one more person to talk to and he might be able to give me rides back.

I was forced to buy McDonald's for dinner yesterday because the Monopoly game is back... which is a time of celebration for me... I was also a little hungry, I've been eating an awful lot of meat recently and I think my body is having trouble dealing with it.

I've yet to convince myself to work on the comic of do any writing, but doing blog entries on a regular basis might help out the process.

You can tell work is boring as yesterday I set out to memorize the first 35 digits of pie and the morning and started setting the number to the tune of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" in the afternoon and today I tried to figure out how to read minds.

Reading minds would deffinitely be a useful trait in the technical support industry.

Explosive Bread Mold

Blog? I've been doing more ranting up till this point.

So I've moved out on my own and just payed my first rent cheque. It's funny I use words like we and our when discussing the place because my future wife will be moving here in january, that's less then three months. The Nintendo DS I'm going to buy in december should be the last frivolouse purchase of my bachelor life.

It's odd what you learn on your own. First of all, real life is really boring. People are important to make life less boring, and music and video games are your friends. I have Zero TV reception so I've been reading and playing video games a lot... and eating, it's funny how a loaf of bread I made a sandwhich out of yesterday can be a mast of mold of 3 different varieties today.

I've been listening to shoutcast streams and watching shoutcast TV, and playing an awful lot of Ragnarok Online.

Well my life is boring when I look at it too closely, and then when I pull out a microsope it's REALLY interesting, so I'll leave it at marginally entertaining and go level.
